Non-Markovian quantum kinetics and conservation laws

چکیده
A link between memory effects in quantum kinetic equations and nonequilibrium correlations associated with the energy conservation is investigated. In order that the energy be conserved by an approximate collision integral, the one-particle distribution function and the mean interaction energy are treated as independent nonequilibrium state parameters. The density operator method is used to derive a kinetic equation in second-order non-Markovian Born approximation and an evolution equation for the nonequilibrium quasitemperature which is thermodynamically conjugated to the mean interaction energy. The kinetic equation contains a correlation contribution which exactly cancels the collision term in thermal equilibrium and ensures the energy conservation in nonequilibrium states. Explicit expressions for the entropy production in the non-Markovian regime and the time-dependent correlation energy are obtained.

Evolution laws taking pure states to mixed states in quantum field theory.
It has been argued that any evolution law taking pure states to mixed states in quantum field theory necessarily gives rise to violations of either causality or energy-momentum conservation, in such a way as to have unacceptable consequences for ordinary laboratory physics. We show here that this is not the case by giving a simple class of examples of Markovian evolution laws where rapid evolut...
متن کاملSymmetry group, Hamiltonian equations and conservation laws of general three-dimensional anisotropic non-linear sourceless heat transfer equation
In this paper Lie point symmetries, Hamiltonian equations and conservation laws of general three-dimensional anisotropic non-linear sourceless heat transfer equation are investigated. First of all Lie symmetries are obtained by using the general method based on invariance condition of a system of differential equations under a prolonged vector field. Then the structure of symmetry ...
متن کاملThe comparison of two high-order semi-discrete central schemes for solving hyperbolic conservation laws
This work presents two high-order, semi-discrete, central-upwind schemes for computing approximate solutions of 1D systems of conservation laws. We propose a central weighted essentially non-oscillatory (CWENO) reconstruction, also we apply a fourth-order reconstruction proposed by Peer et al., and afterwards, we combine these reconstructions with a semi-discrete central-upwind numerical flux ...
متن کاملNon-Markovian closure kinetics of flexible polymers with hydrodynamic interactions.
This paper presents a theoretical analysis of the closure kinetics of a polymer with hydrodynamic interactions. This analysis, which takes into account the non-Markovian dynamics of the end-to-end vector and relies on the preaveraging of the mobility tensor (Zimm dynamics), is shown to reproduce very accurately the results of numerical simulations of the complete nonlinear dynamics. It is found...
متن کاملKinetics of subdiffusion-assisted reactions: non- Markovian stochastic Liouville equation approach
Anomalous specific features of the kinetics of subdiffusion-assisted bimolecular reactions (time-dependence, dependence on parameters of systems, etc) are analysed in detail with the use of the non-Markovian stochastic Liouville equation (SLE), which has been recently derived within the continuous-time random-walk (CTRW) approach. In the CTRW approach, subdiffusive motion of particles is modell...
